New Helms Regatta & Pig Roast - Sunday August 19

The Westwood New Helms Regatta, Milk Carton Race and Pig Roast is Sunday August 19th.

The New Helms Regatta is a fun, laid back race for new skippers. This is a great event for new competitors and those that just want to give it a try. Registration begins at 10am at the Westwood clubhouse and the races will run from 11-4pm. This event is FREE. Bring your own lunch. If you have questions - email race [at] westwoodsailing [dot] ca

If racing isn't your thing or you're a seasoned racer, then join us for the highly competitive Milk Carton Regatta. Make your own milk /juice carton boat and go for the glory. We'll be building boats starting around 3pm and the race will be at 5pm. Full rules / regulations are here.

Both regattas are followed by awards and our ever popular Pig Roast. At 6pm we'll be serving the tasty hog and vegetarian alternatives. It will be a great meal and a good party. There may be some dancing under the patio lanterns later on.
Dinner tickets are $25 and will be available to purchase from an Executive member at the club.

UPDATE: New Helms Results - top boats
1. Christine and Carl from Mooredale
2. Jenny and Michael from J-town
3. Tai and Lena from Westwood
