We can't wait to see you there!
To kick things off, we’ll be hosting a Sun Up at 9:30 AM, where we’ll prepare/assemble our boats and get everything ready for the season ahead. It’s a wonderful chance to get involved, meet fellow sailors, learn some rigging, and help make sure our boats are in top shape!
We’ll begin with boat preparations followed by chili in a joyful, team spirit atmosphere. Your involvement will set the tone for a fantastic season.
Date could be postponed to Apr 12 if weather/conditions are not cooperating. Will be decided much closer to the date. Actual start and end times depend on order of the three adjacent clubs using the crane. Westwood is first! Work party starts about 745am and goes to about 915am or 930am. Each club uses about 1.5 hours. Only 8 to 10 people needed. Some warm food will be served following docks in completion.
Come join for our annual awards night. Includes appetizers and door prizes. Help celebrate your fellow members (maybe you?) !
Maybe play a little pool…
Tickets $20 can be found here: Bash Tickets
Docks Out Day will be here shortly! Time TBD (will we be first club of the 3 or the last…)
Saturday, Oct 18, is Sundown. (Yes, sadly, the season is coming to an end)
Please volunteer to come down to get our club put away nice and clean for the season, ready for us in the spring. Arrive 9am to 930am, Stay as long as you can.
If this is your first Sundown, here's what to expect.
The fleet needs to be disassembled and flipped.
The sail sheds need to be tidied up and organized so the racoons don't turn it into a nursery in the spring.
The change rooms need to be tidied up and cleaned.
The clubhouse needs a scrub down.
The grounds need some tidying up: grass cut, garbage picked up.
There's lots of ways to contribute, so come on down! Sign up for food.
Westwood is serving up Thanksgiving Dinner this Thursday, October 9, and you’re invited! Come for the turkey, stay for the laughs; bring your appetite — and $20 to cover your meal.

Celebrate the Season!
Come one, come all to the annual Commodore’s Bash, where we celebrate the past sailing season and award our accomplished members for their excellent sailing skills, spirit, and contributions to the club!
This year we are pairing the Commodore’s Bash with our Annual Dirty Santa Gift Exchange! The rules for this game are easy!
————————————————-
Dirty Santa Rules 🎁
1. Buy a gift! Budget is $15-$20 + tax.
2. Wrap it up and bring it with you to Gabby’s!
3. Everyone who has brought a gift will draw a number once everyone has arrived.
4. The person with the #1 goes first and selects one of the unopened gifts. They unwrap it and show it off to everyone else!
5. The next person can now choose to either select an unopened gift from those available, or they can STEAL an opened gift from the people who already went. 6. If someone has stolen your opened gift from you, you can then choose to select an unopened gift or steal a gift from someone else. You can not steal back a gift that was stolen from you unless someone else has stolen it from the person who took it from you!
7. Gifts can only be stolen THREE (3) times! So steal wisely!
8. After all the gifts have been opened, people can negotiate to trade their gift with others if they wish, or keep the gift they have!
Celebrate the season with laughter, good company, and holiday cheer. Don’t miss it!
